Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct theoretical and practical driver training programmes
  • Assess driver competence and provide coaching and performance feedback
  • Promote and instil a culture of safe and defensive driving
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
  • Conduct driver inductions and refresher training programmes
  • Monitor driver performance and recommend corrective actions
  • Maintain accurate training records and reports

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ international heavy commercial vehicle driving experience
  • Valid Class 2 Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
  • Valid Medical Certificate
  • Proven experience in driver coaching, mentoring and training
  • Excellent knowledge of defensive driving techniques and road safety regulations
  • Knowledge of current Road Traffic Regulations, Environmental Management Agency (EMA) Regulations, and Petroleum Industry Regulations
  • Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office)
  • Driver Instructor, Assessor or Facilitator qualification will be an added advantage
