Key Responsibilities
- Conduct theoretical and practical driver training programmes
- Assess driver competence and provide coaching and performance feedback
- Promote and instil a culture of safe and defensive driving
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements
- Conduct driver inductions and refresher training programmes
- Monitor driver performance and recommend corrective actions
- Maintain accurate training records and reports
- Support continuous driver development and safety improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years’ international heavy commercial vehicle driving experience
- Valid Class 2 Driver’s Licence
- Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
- Valid Medical Certificate
- Proven experience in driver coaching, mentoring and training
- Excellent knowledge of defensive driving techniques and road safety regulations
- Knowledge of current Road Traffic Regulations, Environmental Management Agency (EMA) Regulations, and Petroleum Industry Regulations
- Strong communication, presentation and report-writing skills
- Computer literacy (MS Office)
- Driver Instructor, Assessor or Facilitator qualification will be an added advantage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
