DESCRIPTION 

Driver B2 – PetroZim Line (Pvt.)
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Individuals to fill the Driver position which has arisen in the Organisation. The position will be based at Msasa Depot, Harare.
Reporting to: Assistant Plant Engineer

DUTIES
Delivers mail and other consignments as assigned by supervisor and management
Reports all vehicle faults and defects in time to supervisor
Drives Company vehicles as assigned by supervisor or management
Collects Company purchases from suppliers when assigned
Ensures vehicles, tractors and other machines are maintained in clean and operational condition
Alerts supervisor when vehicles are due for service; delivers and collects vehicles for service

Refuels Company vehicles when need arises and when assigned
Drives, checks and tests Msasa Fire tender as per scheduled program
Maintains high level of housekeeping in assigned areas and carries other depot duties
Checks terminal portable fire extinguishers to confirm presence and serviceability (condition)
Operates Msasa tractor for fire guard construction and grass mowing
Does bulk deliveries from Msasa, Wilton, Feruka and any other destinations as and when assigned
Takes part in depot firefighting exercises.
Carries out any other duties as instructed by the supervisor, including assisting maintenance team.

REQUIREMENTS
At least 5 ‘0’ Level passes including Maths and English
Clean class 2 driver’s licence
Valid Defensive Driving Certificate
Physically fit and honest with clean track record
Good communication skills
Aged between 25-40 years
Additional relevant training and professional courses an added advantage.
At least 5 years working experience in similar position in formal organisations
A minimum of 3 years active Class 2 (trucks) driving experience
Must be conversant with goods delivery and receipt paperwork
Good knowledge of Safety and Health aspects at the workplace
Use of computer in capturing and retrieving information
