Driver, Grade GS2 299 views

The World Health Organization invites application from suitably qualified candidates for the position of a driver, grade GS2.

The successful candidates will work under the direct supervision and guidance of the ZIRP clinical supervisors, Project Supervisor and Project coordinator. He/she will be expected to perform the following functions:

Drive office vehicles dedicated to the Zimbabwe Idai Recovery Project in Mutare/Chipinge/Chimanimani and provide transportation of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items;

Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, batter, brakes, tires, etc., performs minor repairs and arranges for other repairs, regular servicing and ensures that the vehicle is kept clean;

Log official trips, daily mileage, fuel consumption, oil changes, greasing, etc.;

Ensure that all vehicle documents (e.g. insurance, registration documents e.t.c) are present in the vehicle and up to date

Ensures that the steps required by the rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accident;

Incumbent will be a good team player and work harmoniously and responsibly with field ZIRP team colleagues to achieve project targets;

Will work in accordance with organizational rules and regulations and in line with ZIRP requirements and specifications

Will be accountable for the judicious use of the vehicle and other organizational property in his/her custody and care

Will report activities, incidents, and events as well as direct queries to authorities using proper channels as outline for the project

Performs other duties as required in support of the ZIRP
