DRILL RIG SUPERVISOR – Mining Promotion Corporation

VACANCY 

The Mining Promotion Corporation (MPC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and committed professionals to take up positions in its structures. MPC is a professional and economic mineral exploration and development company with title to a portfolio of diversified mineral properties in all the Mining Districts in Zimbabwe. We are in search of qualified:

Responsibilities:

• Work area preparation, ensure assembly, dismantling, and safe transport of drill rig to new site.

• Perform pre-start checks before operating the machine.

• Monitor the drilling process.

• Plan for routine maintenance on the drilling equipment and making minor repairs as needed.

• Keep accurate records of drilling activities.

• Ensure core is well marked for depth and loss or recoveries.

Requirements:

• Must have experience in exploration drilling and be familiar with a variety of drilling equipment and techniques.

• Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging and remote environments for extended periods of time.

• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.

• A valid Class 2 driver’s license and clean driving record are preferred.

• Relevant Diploma an added advantage.

• Minimum of 5 ‘O’ Levels including English and Mathematics.

• 3-5 years of experience in drilling.

• Certificate of competence in drill rigs.
