MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 5 Ordinary Level passes including Maths and English
- Diploma in Design and Draughting Technology (Mechanical Engineering) or Equivalent Mechanical Engineering with 3 years post qualification experience in a heavy industrial environment
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Packages
- Working knowledge of Drawing Indices
- Working knowledge of the Health, Safety and Environmental issues and Quality Management Systems will be an added advantage
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepare general assembly drawings from design layouts
- Decide on tolerances, fits and threads
- Consider materials to be used and methods of manufacture
- Prepare detailed drawings of individual component parts and sections
- Calculates main dimensions of components
- Prepare working specifications indicating overall measurements and functional requirements
- Insert on drawings, production guidance and information, materials, heat treatment etc.
- Prepare parts lists
- Produces detailed Architectural, Civil, Structural, Fabrication, Construction and Installation drawings
- Prepare Electrical diagrammatic and reticulation drawings and substation layouts
- Drawing numbering and archiving
- SHE program implementation (NOSA)
- Quality Management System Implementation
