QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• A degree in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering from a recognized University

• Membership with the Zimbabwe Institute of Engineers is a distinct advantage

• Registration with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe is another distinct advantage

• At least 35 years old and mature

• Computer literate

• A clean record of service within the public sector or a Local Authority for a minimum of 5 years

• A clean Class 4 driver’s licence

Duties/Responsibilities

• Management of the Engineering and Technical Services Department

• Designing of all civil works, projects, roads, sewer, dams, irrigation and water reticulation

• Preparation of roads programs, reports and acquittals in liaison with Zinara

• Contract document preparation and management

• Compilation of District Development Plans

• Implementation of council resolutions

• Servicing of the Roads and Works Committee of Council

• Advising the CEO on all matters to do with roads maintenance, water and sewer reticulation and development.
