JOB DESCRIPTION

A leading company in the Retail and Manufacturing Industry is on a huge expansion drive and invites applications for the following opening of Display Coordinators x 6 that has arisen at the flagship Branch of its Retail arm.

Reporting to the, Shop Floor Manager the incumbents will have the following key responsibilities:

• Define, design and implement a creative visual merchandising strategy.
• Create appealing and eye-catching visual displays that guide the customer through the entire shop floor.
• Constantly research and review new display techniques to ensure Shop Floor displays remain trendy.
• Liaise with the Product Consultants to develop screen displays, including fixed materials, illumination as well as animatronics to boost sales.
• Ensure that there is enough display space to neatly accommodate all product categories.
• Create display designs within agreed budgets and allocated space.
• Supervise the construction of the displays by the technical staff.
• Maintains neat and tidy displays in the showroom at all times.
• Keep a log of the daily, weekly cleaning schedule and routines.
• Ensure that the product on display is clean and dust free.
• Maintains supplies ordering and office equipment.
• Coordinates special projects such as preparation for tradeshows and displays for specials.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing/Visual merchandising/Spatial Design/Interior Design, Retail Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a similar position.
• Proven record of visual merchandising is required.
• Comprehensive portfolio of relevant visual design work.
• A clear understanding of relevant consumer products is a must.
