Duties And Responsibilities
Reporting to the Pharmacist the main responsibilities for the locum job are: –
• Organizes medications for Pharmacist to dispense
• Preparing labels
• Calculating quantities
• Prepares medical aid claim forms
• Performs general clerical duties, such as answering phones and operating cash register
• Assembling intravenous solutions and other pharmaceutical therapies.
• Issues and explain to patients’ medicines dispensed, as advised by the pharmacist.
Qualifications And Experience
• Pharmacy/Dispensary Assistant Certificate
• 5 ‘O’ levels
• 1-year relevant post qualification pharmacy experience
• Be a person of integrity with a strong client focus
• Be a team player with good communication skills
• Have a mathematical aptitude.
• Be swift and accurate in execution of duties
• Have a commitment to handling private and confidential information with a high degree of professionalism
