The Ministry of Skills Audit and Development is inviting applications to fill the following vacant posts that have risen in the Ministry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Contribute to the formulation. rrclementaticn and review of Natfenal Vocational tracing pdcy ard programmes in Ine with the Ministry’s strategic plan and naicnaldeve opment imperatves.
2. Coord nate the devefepmenL implemenlaten and review of policies and systems that are a med al ensuring tne algnment between curricula and syllabi to focus cn skills required in industry and tne pubic service.
3. Facilitate and guide the development of policy coherence n education Ministries to
enaclethe education system to produce studentsw th necessary technical sK il s to meet tne needs cf indust’ es.
1. Provde high quality technical guidance and supper! to policy and project development, implementation support and nsk management m line with the Mi nslry Strategic Pan.
2. Facilitate regular consultaticns with key and relevant stakenolde’s including but not limited to. government, private sen. to’. business, non-governmental organisat ons, research nslituticns on Techncal and Vccatonal Education and Training (TVETj pregrammes.
3. Coordinate the harmonizaton of vocational and technical trainng in tne puPlic and
private sector.
1. Promote initiatives that supports the development of partnerships and colaboratbn between the Ministry, public and private organizatons encaged n skills development.
2. Foster colacoratcns with relevant educaton Ministries and industry cn tne provis on of career guidance programmes in schoos from an early age
3. Oversee the development of standards and models for modernization of techncal
and vocational centres.
1. Provde expert guidance n identifying new areas of techncal and ’vocational training base-ben the needs.
2. Develop and mantain a database of red rod experts who can be nvotved n skills transfer
3. Superrise, coach and counsel subordinates.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
⦁ A Degree in Socal-’ Industnal Psychology. Adult Educated. Labour Studies. DeveopmentStudies. Development Planning or equivalent.
⦁ Arelevant Masters degree is an acded advantage.
⦁ At least eight (8) yea’s reevant experience, of which two (2) years must be at Deputy Director level or equivalent grade.
⦁ Experienceindevelcpingtoclsand hstrumentswithhtheHumanRescurcefield
⦁ Expenence in developing technical qualifications frameworks.
⦁ An understanding cf pubic sector related legislative and accountability framework.
⦁ Ahigh degree of maturity, serf-discipline, htiative and creativity.
⦁ Proven track record in bui ding partnershirrsand negotiating technical crooperatkxi.
⦁ Must have excellent interpersonal and communication ski Is.
⦁ Good organizational, leadership analyt cal. investigation and team bu Iding ski $.
⦁ Ability to research and turn mfo’matkxi into usefu knowledge, relevant for context, or responsive to a stated need.
