Job Summary
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the above mentioned position which has become vacant in the Finance Department.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Formulation, preparation and monitoring Council’s budgets
• Resource mobilization for Council activities
• Production of monthly management accounts
• Supervising and developing junior employees in the department
• Preparation of yearly final accounts.
• Monitoring and controlling Income and Expenditure of the council
• Maintaining and keeping proper books of accounts.
• Managing the investment portfolio and maintain the loans register.
. Implementation of effective and efficient debt management systems
Remuneration package for this position will be disclosed to shortlisted applicants
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor • s Degree in Accounting or its equivalent plus MBA
• Professional qualification such as C.I.S or ACCA or CIMA plus MBA.
• 10 years of continuous experience in Financial Accounting in Local Authorities or Public Sector
• Applicants should be 35 years of age and above
• Computer literacy.
• A Clean criminal record.
• Full member of o recognized professional body.
