A vacancy has arisen at the Institute and applications arc invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Director General as per the Z1PAM Act (Chapter 25:17) as amended. The position reports to the Board of Governors through the Board Chairman.

Key Responsibility Areas:
⦁ Overall management and running of the Institute;
⦁ Oversight of the capacitation and development of managers and other personnel in both the public and private sectors in line with emerging demands;
⦁ Direct contact with government ministries and departments, external stakeholders; partners and affiliates in line with existing protocols;
⦁ Ensures implementation of strategies, policies and resolutions as directed by the Board;
⦁ Ensure financial sustainability of the Institute;
⦁ Develops and nurtures a conducive high performance work culture; and
⦁ Establishes and upholds best practice management systems in line with the Public Enterprises Corporate
Governance (PECG) Act

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes:
⦁ An earned PhD from a recognized institution is mandatory;
⦁ Minimum of 5 years of experience at Chief Executive Officer or Deputy Chief Executive Officer level or equivalent level;
⦁ Verifiable ability to drive reforms and manage change in sync with the National Vision and Strategies;
⦁ Verifiable strong knowledge and experience in Business Management and Administration;
⦁ Demonstrable high level of business acumen;
⦁ Demonstrable financial literacy and ability to oversee financials of the Institute; and
⦁ Proven ability to create and foster institutional collaborations regionally and internationally; and
⦁ Strategic thinking and planning as well as keen understanding of market trends in business development
