Direct Aid Program and Research Officer

Our client, an embassy, is looking for a Direct Aid Program and Research Officer to join their team.

The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating the grant scheme across Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, The Republic of Congo and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Key responsibilities include management of the online grants system and communication with all stakeholders, preparation of financial documents, monitoring and evaluation of projects and identification of potential risks and assisting with implementation of appropriate measures to address or mitigate risks.

The position also provides input into the Embassy’s public diplomacy and social media program. The incumbent will research on political and economic matters as required and provide back up support to post’s public diplomacy and consular functions. The ideal candidate must have a relevant bachelor’s degree, as well as a minimum of 3 years’ experience in projects, financial or grants management and possess excellent interpersonal skills. The right incumbent will have a high level of discretion and organization, and have proven solid written and oral communication skills.
