Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who wish to train as apprentices.
Applicants must:-
a) Have a minimum of 5 GCE ’O’ level passes at Grade C or better including English Language, Mathematics and an acceptable Science subject.
b) Have attained their 16″ birthday and be under 25 years of age by 1 March 2024.
c) Submit certified legible photocopies of national identity card, birth, educational certificates and a clearance letter from the Registrar of Apprenticeship and Skilled Manpower Training.
d) Submit detailed Curriculum Vitae with reliable contact telephone numbers.

SERVICE DRIVERS (ADMINISTRATION SECTION), HEADQUARTERS POOL, HUMAN RESOURCES AND ADMINISTRATION BRANCH, BULAWAYO
Key responsibilities:-
1. Shuttling Management Executive and Heads of Departments vehicles for scheduled services and fuelling.
2. Ferrying NRZ staff on railway business as well as materials in various Departments to specific destinations.
3. Taking Pool vehicles to and from service providers / repairs for different aspects of attention.
4. Cleaning Management Executive and Pool vehicles, detecting and reporting defects for rectification.
5. Transporting NRZ guests, VIPS and consultants to and from airport and to various destinations including out of town.
Applicants for the post must:-
a) Have at least Five (5) G.C.E “O” level passes at Grade C or better including the English Language.
b) Have a valid, unendorsed Class 4 Driver’s Licence with a minimum of two (2) years’ driving experience.
c) Be able to detect vehicle defects and report same to Supervisor.
d) Be able to maintain pool vehicles in a serviceable condition by checking levels of battery, radiator water, engine oil and brake fluid as well as correct tyre pressure.
e) Be able to maintain pool vehicles in a clean state and ensure that vehicles are equipped with the necessary tools.
f) Be able to account for and record all journeys undertaken.
g) Be able to work under minimum supervision.
h) Be in possession of a valid Defensive Driving Certificate.
