Shangani Ranch, a leading agricultural and livestock operation in Zimbabwe, is seeking a skilled and proactive Diesel Plant Fitter to join our Workshop & Maintenance Division. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel-powered machinery while managing workshop operations in a rural, farm-based environment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment

Supervise workshop personnel and oversee daily maintenance operations

Manage and track spare parts inventory, tools, and workshop assets

Ensure compliance with safety standards, preventative maintenance procedures, and operational protocols

Keep detailed maintenance records and generate periodic reports

Collaborate with the Workshop and Maintenance Manager to improve operational efficiency and equipment uptime
Minimum Requirements

5 “O” Level passes, including English and Mathematics

Diploma or trade certification in Diesel Plant Fitting or a mechanical engineering discipline

At least 5 years’ practical experience in diesel engine maintenance and repair of agricultural or industrial equipment

Strong technical troubleshooting and mechanical diagnostic skills

Proven ability to lead workshop teams and manage tasks independently

Willingness to relocate and work in a rural, farm-based setting

Excellent communication and organizational skills
