Key Responsibilities
- Comply with SHEQ requirements, company policies and applicable ISO standards.
- Undertake underground diamond drilling activities in accordance with industry standards.
- Recover core samples and safely transport and deliver them to the surface.
- Operate, care for and maintain drill rigs.
- Record daily drilled metres and complete shift analysis.
- Derig, transport, rig and set up drilling equipment.
- Position and dismantle drilling machinery at drilling sites.
- Retrieve, label and preserve core samples for geological examination.
- Inspect drilling equipment and carry out minor repairs where required.
- Record drilling information, including depth, rock formations and sample recovery.
- Ensure drilling fluids, rods, bits and other consumables are used correctly.
