A local Non -Governmental Organisation is seeking the services of a consultant to develop a model law on Legal Aid in Zimbabwe.

The consultant will draft a legislative instrument that: Proposes amendments to the Legal Aid Act; Ensures that the Legal Aid Act is aligned to the 2013 Constitution; Incorporates provisions that reflect international and regional norms on legal aid; Incorporates good practices on legal aid from other countries; Incorporates provisions that improve access to justice for the marginalized and vulnerable communities of Zimbabwe; Will be presented at a meeting of access to justice stakeholders.
