As the Deputy Head, you will play a vital role in the realization of the school’s Vision through providing strong leadership and support to the Quinton school community.

Knowledge & Understanding

An Educationist who understands how to recognize and develop quality teaching.
Knowledge of Primary School Syllabus interpretations and implementations.
Very conversant with current teaching methodology and learning issues.
Knowledge in principles and practice of quality assurance systems, including school evaluation and performance management.
Knowledge of school improvement strategies and how to tackle underperformance in different contexts.
Clear Understanding of the importance of appropriate communication with parents, teachers, senior management and Ministry.

Skills, Abilities and Demonstrable Experience

A confident and genuine communicator who can instill trust among parents and teaching staff.

Responsibilities:

Assist in implementing performance management systems, drawing up termly programmes and organising.
Collaborate with the Head to develop and implement the school’s vision and strategic goals.
Participate in the fostering of a positive school culture that values every child and promotes their achievement.
Support and inspire teachers, ensuring high-quality teaching and learning.
Assist in the management of resources effectively to enhance the learning environment.
Execute duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head.
Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Education & Qualification:

Should be a substantive Head.
A relevant degree + a professional teaching qualification.
Masters Degree in the area of Educational Administration is an added advantage.
Relevant professional development courses also an added advantage.
Must have proven experience of School Leadership either as Head or Deputy head in a private or public School.
