Applications are invited to fill the following position which have arisen within the Food and Nutrition Council.
Reports to: Director General
DUTIES
The Deputy Director Nutrition will be responsible for:
Establishing a permanent food and nutrition cooperation mechanism, encompassing all organizations and entities involved in nutrition in the country, to promote dialogue and cooperation.
Ensuring that all actors in nutrition in the country are aware of national nutrition policies, and encourage the design and roll-out of common standards to this effect.
Elaborating and supporting communications tailored to effectively engage policy makers, opinion leaders, decision makers and community leaders (including religious leaders) with the power to influence sustainable changes.
REQUIREMENTS
Post-graduate qualification in Nutrition, Public Health, Agriculture, Development Studies or other relevant qualifications.
At least seven (7) years work experience, with increasing responsibility.
Knowledge and experience working in the sectors of nutrition, public health, socio-economics, economic planning, social development, food security and/or public health.
