About the role

The Settlement Officer will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of all the clearing and settlement instructions as well as communicating with the Depository Participants. The Settlement Officer will be reporting to the Head of Depository. The ZSE would want to hear from candidates who will bring energy, insight, and experience that can keep up with the growth of the business.

Duties And Responsibilities

What will you be doing?

The Settlement Officer will be required to achieve the following key responsibilities:

• Preparation of clearing and settlement reports and instructions,
• Ensuring proper recording keeping and filing of all documents,
• Authorises dematerialisation and rematerialisation of shares,
• Recording and analysing the gaps in depository rules and procedures,
• Ensuring that participants are complying with the clearing and settlement rules,
• Tracking the settlement performance metrics,
• Taking part in the organization’s training and development policies and procedures.

Qualifications And Experience

What are we looking for?

To successfully fill this role, you will have the following:

• A degree in a Financial related field from a reputable university
• You have more than 2 years relevant experience preferably in the back office of a broking firm or financial institution or depository
• Well organized and methodical with excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Dynamic and flexible as a team player with good communication skills
