Person Specification
Post A (x2)
- The ideal candidate should have at least a Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering and an undergraduate degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science and Engineering.
- A PhD in Metallurgical Engineering or Chemistry is a distinct advantage.
- The successful candidate would be required to teach any two (2) of the following undergraduate modules:- Physical Metallurgy, Mechanical Metallurgy, Metals Processing, Engineering Alloys, Metal Casting and Corrosion
Post B (x2)
- The ideal candidate should have at least a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics or Materials Science and an undergraduate honours degree in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Physics or Materials Science.
- A PhD in Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Materials Science and Engineering or Energy Materials, Physics with specialization in Electronic Materials or Materials Science with specialisation in electronic materials is a distinct advantage.
- The successful candidate would be required to teach any two (2) of the following undergraduate modules:- Fundamentals of Semiconductor Devices, Optoelectronics and magnetic properties of materials, Spintronics Semiconductor Device Characterization, Thin-film Materials Science and Technology, energy materials
Post C (x1)
- The ideal candidate should have at least a Masters in Chemistry and undergraduate honours degree in Chemistry.
- A PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science with specialisation in Polymer Chemistry is a distinct advantage
- The successful candidate would be required to teach any two (2) of the following undergraduate modules:- Polymer characterization, Polymer Thermodynamics, Biopolymers and Biomaterials.
