VACANCY NOTICE
NetOne Cellular (Private) Limited seeks to recruit a highly motivated, outstanding and results oriented individual to fill the following position.

RESPONSIBILITY
‘1 he incumbent shall be responsible to the Senior Database Administrator.

KEY JOB PURPOSE
To maintain, configure and deploy all system databases in order to achieve optimum performance.

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Implements database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulations;
2. Designs database schema, which represents the logical structure of the database which includes identifying the entities (tables), their attributes (columns), and the relationships between them;
3. Ensures data security and integrity, including implementation of access controls, backups and recovery plans;
4. Executes disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure database availability during system outages or dysfunction;
5. Executes regular database maintenance tasks, including database defragmentation, backups, and database replication;
6. Installs databases and Database Management Systems (DBMS);
7. Maintains performance, quality, and optimization of database systems;
8. Provides database maintenance on new and existing database systems;
9. Creates and maintains effective indexes for optimal data retrieval;
10. Stays updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in database administration and recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance;
11. Monitors database usage trends and forecast future database needs, collaborating with stakeholders to plan for database capacity and scalability;
12. Safeguards data by setting up protective measures against unauthorized access, hacks, and breaches;
13. Updates database software and perform routine maintenance tasks to keep systems in top shape;

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
⦁ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent;
⦁ At least two (2) years relevant working experience.
