Job Summary
We are looking for Data Entry interns to join our team on a part time basis, preferably on attachment. As a Data Entry intern, you will be responsible for entering specific data into our databases. You will be responsible for managing data and keeping it organized. You will identify and correct errors, and swiftly bring them to the attention of relevant parties where necessary.
Your main goal will be to keep data in order so that it is easily accessible at any time.
Duties And Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• prepare, compile and sort documents for data entry
• check source documents for accuracy
• verify data and correct data where necessary
• obtain further information for incomplete documents
• update data and delete unnecessary files
• combine and rearrange data from source documents where required
• enter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and forms
• transcribe information into required electronic format
• scan documents into document management systems or databases
• check completed work for accuracy
• store completed documents in designated locations
• print information when required
• comply with data integrity and security policies
• Creating data backups as part of a contingency plan
• Testing new database systems and software updates
