DAIRY OFFICER – Local Company 177 views

Reporting to the Operations Manager for a Dairy Development Project, the incumbents will be responsible for administering a milk collection centre that services a particular rural community.

DUTIES
Key Responsibilities
The incumbents’ key responsibilities shall include but not limited to: –
Working directly with the community to administer dairy production.
Assisting in identification of profitable business opportunities/ideas and development of business proposals to support the ideas.
Development of innovations to improve on dairy farming efficiencies, cut costs and improve profitability for the farmers and the milk collection centre.
Carrying out of market research to identify revenue stream opportunities for the milk collection centre.
Working with management to implement strategies that uplift the livelihood of smallholder dairy farmers.

Tracking milk production and processing costs, revenues, and viability status each dairy cluster that supplies milk to each centre.
Product launch and promotion of processed milk products.
Assisting in sourcing of additional markets for processed milk products.

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Certificate or Diploma in Dairy Management Courses.
At least 1-year hands on experience.
