Our client, a reputable Logistics and Freight Forwarding company, seeks to hire a skilled Customs Clearance Officer to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely clearance of import and export cargos across all ports.
Key Responsibilities
- Classify goods using HS Codes and process customs entries on ASYCUDA World.
- Ensure compliance with ZIMRA customs legislation and trade regulations.
- Prepare and submit accurate customs documentation for timely cargo clearance.
- Resolve customs queries, inspections, and clearance challenges.
- Coordinate clearing and forwarding activities across all modes of transport.
- Liaise with shipping lines, agents, transporters, and port authorities.
- Provide shipment updates and advisory support to clients and internal teams.
- Maintain accuracy to minimize delays, penalties, and financial risk.
Requirements
- SFAAZ qualification (mandatory).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Customs Clearance / Clearing & Forwarding.
- Strong working knowledge of HS Codes, ZIMRA procedures, and ASYCUDA World.
- Experience handling import, export, transit, and bonded cargo.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and compliance focus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
