A leading Financial Holdings Company seeks to recruit the following person for its newly established subsidiary company that is set to undertake agricultural financing,
ROLE PROFILE
Reporting to the Head of Credit, the Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the credit granting process for the organisation, to optimize the organisation’s income and reduce bad debt losses by maintaining the credit policy. This mid-level role will also be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of potential customers, making recommendations thereof to the Credit Committee; ensuring adherence and compliance to the RBZ’s prescribed standards on lending; maintaining records of all organizations loans; reviewing, and updating the organization’s credit policy.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, Accounting or Agricultural Economics.
• MSc in Agriculture or equivalent/MBA will be an added advantage.
• At least 5 years relevant experience in bank credit management, 3 years at supervisory level.
• Knowledge of computer based banking operations.
EXPERIENCE
• Proven work experience as a Credit Manager.
• Experience with credit analysis.
• High-level analytical skills.
• Advanced knowledge of accounting software/computer based banking operations.
• Good in-depth knowledge of continually evolving credit scoring and financial services products
• Good understanding of lending procedures.
• Good communication & interpersonal skills.
• Detail orientated
