Job Summary

Tsapo Group of companies is a fast-growing organisation in the motor industry and is seeking to employ the services of a Country Manager responsible for overseeing its operations in Zambia. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Zambia within the shortest possible time.

The successful candidate will be in charge of all Zambian operations and business units.

The position will be reporting to the Group Operations Manager based at Headquarters in Zimbabwe.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and review the SBUs business strategies.
   2. Ensure availability of comparative market information on competitor trends and plans and develop strategies to counter these.
   3. Monitors the business performance and ensures it is in line with provisions of the business plans.
   4. Develop key performance ratios and indicators in alignment with market trends.
   5. Approves budgetary proposals from all key functions before ratification by the Board and monitor business performance against budgets.
   6. Ensure implementation of structures, policies, procedures and practices (e.g regular meetings) that reflect good corporate governance.
   7. Ensure periodic business performance reports are produced and presented to the Board and that any corrective action is taken.
   8. Ensures compliance with all Statutory Requirements and that the company does not get involved in anything illegal.
   9. Identifies and translates key customer needs and requirements into business opportunities.
   10. Managing human resources in liaison with Group Human Resources Manager, ensures development and implementation of sound strategies for the attraction, development and retention of talent to continually give the company the competitive edge.

Qualifications And Experience

1. Master in Business Administration.
   2. At least 5 years’ working experience in management position.
   3. Proven operations skills is an added advantage.
   4. Candidate must possess strong leadership and communication skills.
   5. A clean class 4 Drivers licence and a valid passport A MUST.
