RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The incumbent will be responsible for, amongst other duties:-
• Head of Council’s Technical Department
• To ensure efficient management of the Council’s Technical Department
• Road construction and maintenance
• Carrying out road designs, dams and related infrastructure
• Approval of Engineering plans and drawings
• Design and maintenance of water and sewage reticulation systems
• Preparations of the department’s annual budget drawing of Civil works contracts and management of civil work’s operations
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• A Master’s degree will be an added advantage
• Membership of the Zimbabwe Council of Engineers
• At least three (3) years post qualification experience
• At least 30 years old and mature
• A clean Class Four (4) driver’s licence is a MUST
• A citizen of Zimbabwe
• A clean criminal record
• A clean record of service within the Local Government fraternity
