Key Responsibilities

• Ensures Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Standards are maintained.
• Collaborates with project managers and stakeholders to prepare budgets and completion of applications for capital expenditure forms (AFCE) for each project to be undertaken.
• Ensures all AFCE and budgets reports are approved before project commencement.
• Conducts financial forecasting for the project to anticipate cash flow needs and potential financial risks.
• Provides accounting technical support throughout the project lifecycle.
• Reviews and approves project expenses, ensuring they align with the budget and contract terms.
• Maintains detailed records of all project expenditure to ensure efficient resource utilisation.
• Generates and interprets detailed financial reports for project managers, senior management, and stakeholders on a regular basis.
• Investigates, analyses, and reports any deviations (variances) between the actual project costs and the approved budget.
• Ensures that project variations are approved before expenditure.

Requirements

• B.Com Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
• Project Management, CA, CIMA, CIS or ACCA or an equivalent qualification will have an added advantage.
• At least 5 years post qualification relevant experience.
