Gala-Way Recruitment Services has been retained by a client in the Manufacturing industry to recruit a Cost Accountant.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organisation.

• Analyses and recommends costs and cost savings.

• Prepares and completes internal cost audits.

• Analyses the data collected and logs a detailed record of the results.

• Analyses manufacturing costs and prepares regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.

• Makes estimates of new and proposed costs.

• Provides management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect the prices and profitability of products or services.

• Assists in audits and general ledger preparation.

• Conducts physical inventories and monitors the cycle count program.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field.

• CIMA qualification is a must.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in manufacturing.

• Sound understanding of accounting principles.

• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
