POSITION : COOK/MESSENGER
REPORTS TO: PA TO THE GENERAL SECRETARY

JOB SUMMARY
Skilled at a variety of advanced food preparation techniques, food safety knowledge, and the ability to serve great food in a timely manner. Must be committed to using safe and sanitary cooking practices and maintaining an organized and clean cooking area. Messengerial duties include securely delivering packages, documents, written and verbal messages, and other items to intended locations or recipients in a professional and timely manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Identifies menu required for lunch and meetings in liaison with the PA.
• Cooks all meals as per set standard
• Ensures quality and safety standards are met.
• Distributes the required meals.
• Ensures the canteen and utensils are clean at all times
• Procurement of canteen provisions and related errands
• Securely delivers packages, documents, written and verbal messages, and other items to intended location or recipient in a timely manner.
• Processes outgoing mail.
• Obtains required signatures and/or payments at time of delivery.
• Perform routine maintenance on delivery vehicles, such as monitoring fluid levels and replenishing fuel.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE
• At least one year experience in a similar position.
• Health & safety training
• Should be a holder of a Class 2 or Class 4 Drivers License

EDUCATION
• 5 “O” Level passes plus a Qualification in Hotel and Catering or similar.
