Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (Pvt) Ltd (ZCDC), a World Class Diamond Producer for the long-term benefit of Zimbabwe seeks applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and self-driven candidates to be considered for the following positions that have arisen in the business:

CONTRACTS OFFICER

Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the job is based at the Mine and is responsible for the following:

Summary of Duties:

⦁ Ensure and develop corporate adherence to best practice contract monitoring procedures to ensure that contractors are achieving key tasks, outcomes, and performance targets set by ZCDC.
⦁ Engage and support Managers by providing guidance on technical procurement matters, including advising on appropriate procurement mechanisms, preparing tender documentation, and undertaking tender evaluation.
⦁ Assist in the drafting of contracts in liaison with the legal department and user departments.
⦁ Manage supplier contracts and ensure they are compliant with the public procurement and public disposal Act.
⦁ Engage with all relevant stakeholders for procurement strategy implementation and operational procurement transactions.
⦁ Plan, Implement, controlled, and monitor approved changes to the area of responsibility to respond to changes in the industry, legislation, and other related matters including transformation and optimization.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

⦁ A University degree in Supply Chain Management
⦁ CIPS qualification and/or master’s degree is an added advantage.
⦁ At least 5 years experience working as a Contracts Officer in a heavy industry environment. Experience in the mining industry is an added advantage.
⦁ Solid knowledge of Public procurement
⦁ Solid knowledge of managing imports and exports
Sound knowledge of SHEQ Management systems
