Terre des Hommes Africa is seeking a qualified consultant or consultancy team to conduct a feasibility study for the proposed Pathways to Protection (P2P) project in Kenya and Zimbabwe.
The three-year proposed project focuses on strengthening protection systems and transforming communities to prevent sexual exploitation of children and youth and gender-based rights violations in targeted areas of Kenya and Zimbabwe.

Key Responsibilities
- The feasibility study will assess whether the proposed P2P project is feasible, appropriate and sufficiently robust for implementation in the proposed intervention areas in Kenya and Zimbabwe.
- The study will examine the proposed problem analysis, intervention logic, target groups, implementation approaches, institutional arrangements, stakeholder engagement, resources, safeguarding arrangements, risks and sustainability prospects.
- The consultant will also provide evidence-based findings and practical recommendations on areas including: Geographical focus, target groups and scale; Intervention strategies and sequencing; Stakeholder roles and institutional arrangements; Safeguarding measures; Indicators and resource requirements; Risk mitigation; Sustainability mechanisms.
Requirements
- At least five years of proven experience conducting feasibility studies, assessments, evaluations or research related to child protection, SEC&Y, GBV/GBRV, safeguarding, youth empowerment and/or livelihoods.
- Demonstrated experience with mixed-method research, including qualitative and quantitative methods and participatory approaches.
- Relevant academic qualifications, preferably a university or postgraduate qualification in social sciences, development studies, child protection, gender studies, economics, public policy, research or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of the socio-economic, institutional, policy and child-rights contexts of Kenya and Zimbabwe .
- Understanding of institutional and systems approaches to child protection, safeguarding, GBV/GBRV prevention and response, youth economic empowerment and sustainability.
- Strong analytical, report-writing and English communication skills.
- Commitment to ethical research, safeguarding and data protection.
- Capacity to undertake fieldwork and stakeholder consultations in both Kenya and Zimbabwe.
