Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the various vacant posts that have arisen in the Zimbabwe Independent Complaints Commission.
CONFLICT PREVENTION OFFICER
GRADE: G3B
REPORTS TO: MANAGER CONFLICT PREVENTION
STATION: HEAD OFFICE
ORGANIZATION: ZIMBABWE INDEPENDENT COMPLAINTS COMMISSION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
g) Developing strategies to prevent conflicts and contributing to peace building efforts;
h) Maintaining and updating the early warning systems Gathering and analysing data from various sources to inform the early response by the Commission;
j) Collaborating with other departments to formulate conflict prevention strategies and action plans;
k) Supporting the development of policies aimed at mitigating conflict risks;
l) Preparing reports and briefs on conflict trends and prevention initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
g) A Bachelor’s degree in Peace Conflict and governance, Conflict resolution, International relations, Political science or related field;
h) Certification in mediation, negotiation, conflict prevention or analysis is an added advantage;
i) A minimum of 2 years of experience in conflict analysis, peacebuilding, or a similar role;
j) Training in early warning systems, crisis intervention, and counselling is preferred;
k) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely;
l) Fluency in multiple languages can be an asset;
