VACANCY NOTICE
POSITION: COMPLIANCE MANAGER
REPORTING TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Job Responsibilities:
The Compliance Manager is responsible for:

Ensuring Licensees and Operators comply with legislation namely the Lotteries and Gaming Act [Chapter 10:26] as well as regulations, in particular Section 58 of the act or its successor and the Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act [Chapter 9:24].

Undertaking and managing regulatory inspections.

Assessment of returns submitted by operators.

Inspecting the premises, equipment and all means used for the purposes of conducting lotteries and gaming business to ensure compliance with rules and regulations.

Assisting the operators with the correct interpretation of the provisions of the operating licence(s).

Liaison with law enforcement agents, Financial Intelligence Unit and other stakeholders on instructions from the Secretary.

Development of oversight on policies and regulatory standards.

Compiling reports of all examinations and inspections conducted within two days of the examination or inspection.

Identifying, preventing, monitoring, and resolving compliance risks and issues.
-
Developing, reviewing, and updating company policies and procedures.

Implementing and managing effective legal compliance programs.
-
Advising management and stakeholders on compliance matters and best practices.

Upgrading compliance program standards and supporting management and executives by providing legal, policy and compliance advice.

Maintaining critical data related regulatory compliance.

Ensuring the board complies with regulations and policies.

Carrying any other tasks as directed by the Chief Executive Officer.
Job Requirements

A Degree in Risk Management, Business Management, Law or equivalent.

A post graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
-
More than 5 years managerial position, computer knowledge and experience in Risk.
-
Appreciation of the gaming industry.
-
Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism.
-
A clean Class 4 driver’s licence.
-
