We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Compliance Data Analyst to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous enhancement of the organization’s compliance framework. The role focuses on promoting adherence to AML, CFT, Counter Proliferation Financing (CPF), sanctions compliance, and broader regulatory requirements through effective transaction monitoring, risk assessment, regulatory reporting, and data-driven analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in identifying, assessing, and monitoring compliance risks associated with the Society’s activities.
  • Conducting transaction monitoring and analyzing transactions to detect, investigate, and escalate suspicious activities.
  • Preparing and supporting the submission of suspicious activity and other regulatory reports.
  • Developing and maintaining compliance dashboards, reports, and analytics to monitor the organization’s compliance health.
  • Reviewing compliance data, systems, and processes to ensure adherence to AML/CFT/CPF, sanctions, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitoring high-risk customers, transactions, products, and business activities, and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
  • Supporting compliance risk assessments for new products, services, and business initiatives to ensure adequate controls are implemented.
  • Responding to information requests from regulators, correspondent banks, and other stakeholders.
  • Drafting and coordinating regulatory submissions, including returns, appeals, exemptions, approvals, and other statutory requirements.
  • Preparing and coordinating periodic compliance, AML, and risk reports for management and governance committees.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate submission of daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory returns.
  • Supporting internal and external audits, compliance reviews, and assurance activities.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of compliance controls, monitoring systems, and reporting processes.
  • Coordinating enterprise risk reporting and supporting the monitoring of compliance-related risk indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, Statistics, Data Analytics, Law, Banking, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in Compliance, AML/CFT, Risk Management, or a related discipline will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in a compliance, risk, audit, financial crime, or data analytics role within the financial services sector will be an added advantage.
