Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the various vacant posts that have arisen in the Zimbabwe Independent Complaints Commission.
COMMUNICATION & ADVOCACY OFFICER
GRADE: G3B
REPORTS TO: MANAGER CONFLICT PREVENTION
STATION: HEAD OFFICE
ORGANIZATION: ZIMBABWE INDEPENDENT COMPLAINTS COMMISSION
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
a) Serving as the primary liaison between the office and external media outlets, journalists and other stakeholders;
b) Collaborating with the Deputy Director Corporate Affairs and other relevant departments to design and develop publicity material for the Commission;
c) Facilitating media interviews, press conferences, and other public appearances for the Commission;
d) Monitoring media coverage and social media platforms;
e) Cultivating relationships with key media contacts and influencers;
f) Staying current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in public relations and communications that have a bearing on the Commission;
g) Implementing comprehensive public relations strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
a) Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field;
b) A minimum of 2 years’ experience in public relations, media relations, or a related field;
c) Strong written and verbal communication skills;
d) Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
e) Experience in managing media campaigns and events;
f) Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.
