Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

• A degree in Finance/Commercial Law or related field
• At least 8 years relevant experience
• Corporate membership of a relevant professional institution
• Project management certification is an added advantage
• Experience with commercial risk evaluation and mitigation strategies.
• Experience interpreting commercial and contractual risks and drivers.
• Ability to analyse costs / margins and report effectively.
• Effective negotiating skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Manages commercial activities involving standard contracts and contract reviews and provides contracts negotiation support to the project team.
• Resolves contractual and commercial problems and develops operational process flows
• Ensures that the financial aspects and impacts of a contract are clear to all parties as well as overseeing commercial agreements and documents
• Ensures that the obligations and responsibilities of all Contracts and other stakeholders are properly fulfilled to the time scales identified within the Agreement,
• Monitors and manages the contract procedures, invoicing, payments, variations, together with contractual entitlements and reports on any variations
• Reviews and comments upon the Project PSR (project summary report- accounts) and identify any negative variances; make suggestions on any necessary corrective actions to the Project Manager.
