CARE began working in Zimbabwe in 1992 in response to a severe regional drought. After establishing a drought mitigation program, CARE began longer term developmental programs with local partners in building small dams, strengthening local microfinance institutions, and launching projects to assist small businesspersons in the rural areas.

Job Description
The Collaboration, Learning & Adaptation (CLA) Lead is responsible for ensuring that the USAID Takunda project includes robust processes of intentional and adaptive learning within and across its multi-sectoral interventions. S/he will play a key role in ensuring that all “Refine and Implement” (‘Refinement’) and other ongoing learnings are included in program implementation. The CLA Lead will continuously scan the landscape for opportunities to leverage and contribute to development efforts of stakeholders, peers and partners.

Duties And Responsibilities

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

Partner closely with all staff to ensure collaboration and learning synergies with other activities in the applicant’s selected implementation area.
Ensure the DFSA’s activity includes active, intentional, and adaptive learning within and across its multi-sectoral interventions, serving as an integral participant in incorporating all Refine and Implement (‘Refinement’) activities into implementation.
Ensure appropriate and continued coordination and joint planning with other USAID partners and donor activities (specifically the USAID food security and resilience portfolio), host government initiatives, and private sector engagement.
Engage project stakeholders in gathering information and lessons emerging from program implementation and ensuring quality communications to external stakeholders.
Contribute to the development of project PREP documents such as proposals, results framework, budgets, Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP) and other project documents as required.
Create an environment within CARE’s workplaces, programming, and communities where CARE works that is free from sexual harassment, sexual abuse and sexual exploitation and child abuse (SHEA-CA).

Qualifications And Experience

 

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in organizational learning, knowledge management, or other related areas of expertise.
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
5 years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent relationship management skills.
Strong strategic, analytical, problem-solving and systems thinking.
Strong presentation, facilitation, training, mentoring, and coaching skills.
Proactive, resourceful, and results-oriented.
