POSITION : CLINICAL MEDICAL OFFICER (3 POSITIONS)
GRADE : 5
LOCATION : CLINICS AND HOSPITALS
REPORTS TO : DISTRICT MEDICAL OFFICER

JOB OBJECTIVE

The position exists to ensure the efficient and effective management of patients in the Clinics and Hospitals through diagnosis, treatment and the creation of a good working atmosphere and supervision of subordinates.

KEY RESULT AREAS

➢ Clinical Management of patients in clinics and hospitals
➢ Ensures implementation of public health policies
➢ Monitors patient management by nursing staff
➢ Co-ordinates activities with other health cadres
➢ Performance monitoring and management
➢ Attends to night calls at Beatrice Road Infectious Diseases Hospital and Wilkins Hospital
➢ Conducts Caesarean Section at Mabvuku Enhanced Poly

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

➢ Bachelor of Medicine Degree from a recognized University
➢ At least 3 years post qualification practical working experience as a Medical Officer
➢ Current Practising Certificate
➢ A post graduate qualification in Public Health qualification such as MCH, MPH is an added advantage
➢ Clean class 4 drivers’ licence a must
