Summary

The purpose of this job is to supervise base station civil infrastructure construction, access road construction, buildings construction, site hardening and installation of base station accessories in all upgrade and expansion projects. Incumbent should also be able to maintain all civil infrastructure in Harare, Midlands and Masvingo.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Conducts Technical Site Surveys for new, existing sites and access roads with contractors.
• Allocates assigned sites to contractors according to priority.
• Supervises construction and installation of base station civil infrastructure which includes towers, shelters and fences.
• Supervises cable laying and civil works involving manhole construction, trenching and buildings carried out by contractors.
• Ensures all civil work is carried out within the approved budget.
• Monitors site progress in the field against agreed program of works.
• Prepares and update technical standards relating to areas of operation.

Qualification And Experience

• 6 ‘O’ Levels including English and Mathematics
• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction
• 2-3 years’ experience in a related field or equivalent
