CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN: GRADE 9
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma Civil Engineering/HND
- Affiliation to o professional body will be an added advantage
- At least two years working experience preferably in a local government environment
- Computer literate e.g Auto CAD
- No criminal record
- Clean Class 4 driver’s licence is a must
Duties and Responsibilities
- Overseeing the construction and maintenance of roads, water, public lighting and sewer reticulation systems
- Coordinating WASH activities in the District
- Preparing annual road maintenance programs and roads acquittals for submission to Zinara
- Preparation of bills of quantities for Council projects or works
- Assist in preparation of the departmental budget
- Supervision of junior staff within the department
- Preparation of project proposals and designs
