POSITION : CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
(1 POSITION)
GRADE : 9/8
REPORTING TO : CHIEF CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
LOCATION : CABS CENTER
DEPARTMENT : HARARE WATER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for appointment in the above vacant position in the Waste Water Division of Harare Water Department.
Job Objective
Responsible for the engineering leveling and Production of design
drawings for network upgrades and rehabilitation, inclusive of
network maintenance and management.
KEY RESULT AREAS
• Engineering Survey
• Production of Engineering drawings
• Advising the Chief Civil Engineering Technician on operations
• Production of tender documents in line with the General
Conditions of contract (ZGCC4 of 1984)
• Interfacing with Superintendents on infrastructure maintenance and rehabilitation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Higher national diploma in civil engineering
• Familiar with GIS software
• Excellent skills with MS Excel, M-Water and Autocad
• 3 years’ experience in a related environment
• Corporate Membership to a professional body i.e. ZIE

• A self-starter with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information.
