The successful applicant will be based at Cam & Motor mine and will undertake any such tasks, within the scope of their expertise, as may be directed by the General Manager inclusive of, but not limited to, the following:
Main Responsibilities:
• Developing, recommending, and implementing strategies for the civils and projects section.
• Implementing the HSEQ system for civils, projects and site services infrastructure to achieve zero harm.
• Overseeing the identification, appraisal, designing and implementation of growth projects for the business.
• Overseeing the execution of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on all company infrastructure.
• Managing costs and report expenditure for the projects and site services section.
• Ensuring adequate bulk water supply for both potable and raw water to support business operations.
• Performing contractor management of all civil works and projects for the organisation.
• Managing the tailings storage facility according to statutory requirements and internal standards.
Qualifications and Experience:
• BSc Civil Engineering
• A Project Management qualification is an added advantage
• At least 5 years relevant working experience in construction or mining industry.
• Working knowledge of HSE systems and standards.
