Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the consulting business, delivering practical technical, operational and commercial advice across multiple clients and projects.
  • Develop phased project plans aligned with available capital, coordinating technical specialists, contractors and operational teams.
  • Manage capital and operating budgets, cash-flow forecasts, expenditure priorities and financial controls.
  • Assess project economics, viability and financial risks to guide development and operational decisions.
  • Oversee existing mining operations, improving cost efficiency, productivity and profitability.
  • Establish effective systems, performance measures and reporting while maintaining safety, environmental and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Finance, Business Management or a related discipline.
  • Substantial senior mining leadership experience and extensive mining consulting or advisory experience, including implementing recommendations.
  • Proven success supporting mining start-ups and multiple greenfield projects with limited funding.
  • Strong financial acumen covering project economics, capital allocation, capital and operating expenditure, cash-flow management and budget control.
  • Experience across exploration, feasibility, mine development and commissioning, with the ability to oversee projects at different stages.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and client management skills, with a practical, hands-on approach.
  • Gold mining experience would be advantageous, alongside exposure to other minerals.
