POST : CHIEF MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTIST
REPORTS TO : National TB Laboratory Coordinator
STATION : National TB Reference Laboratory, Bulawayo
Responsible and accountable for the administrative and technical operation of NTBRL services.
1. Coordinates activities of all the various disciplines.
2. Develops strategies, goals and objectives of various laboratory disciplines.
3. Supervises all laboratory activities.
4. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness and efficiency of laboratory service delivery methods and procedures.
5. Participates in the development and implementation of the NTBRL overall laboratory annual plan and budget.
6. Implements quality management programs.
7. Manages and administers day to day activities of the laboratory overall annual plan.
8. Facilitates training and research in the laboratory.
1. Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent
2. Masters in any clinical laboratory discipline
3. 2 years post qualification experience in a Medical Laboratory
4. Experience in working in a TB Laboratory is an added advantage
5. Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft word, excel, power point, and internet are required
