Proserve Executive Appointments (on behalf of a leading Financial Institution/Bank). CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide digital transformation, AI adoption, data strategy, technology modernization, automation, and innovation to support the Bank’s TSP and future banking model.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the Bank’s AI, Digital Transformation and Technology Innovation strategy.
- Lead AI deployment across Operations, Risk, CX, HR, Finance, Credit, and Back-Office processes.
- Oversee data governance, data engineering, analytics, cybersecurity and IT architecture.
- Drive automation (RPA), process re-engineering and digital workforce enablement.
- Lead digital payments, digital channels, API gateways, cloud strategy and platforms roadmap.
- Identify and implement emerging technologies that improve customer experience, efficiency, and competitiveness.
- Oversee the management of IT infrastructure, cloud environments, networks, and enterprise applications.
- Create innovation labs, sandboxes and future-of-work technology capabilities.
- Ensure technology compliance with RBZ regulations, cybersecurity standards and enterprise risk.
- Build capabilities for data-driven decision-making through advanced analytics.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing ICT team capable of supporting the Bank’s digital ambitions.
- AI use case deployment (efficiency, accuracy gains).
- Digitalisation of operations and reduction in manual processes.
- System availability, penetration test compliance and cyber resilience.
- Data quality, analytics maturity and business intelligence utilisation.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, Information Systems or related.
- Master’s degree in AI/Technology preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years IT, Digital Transformation or AI leadership experience.
- Demonstrable experience in Digital Transformation, Enterprise Architecture, AI adoption, and Data strategy.
