• Agro-processing Industry’ Strategic Appointment

We have been exclusively retained by our client, a well established manufacturer and supplier of fast moving consumer goods in the agro-processing industry to assist with the recruitment and selection of a suitably qualified, experienced and dynamic professional with ability to drive business performance to fill the critical and strategic role of Chief Executive Officer. Reporting to the Board of Directors through the Chairperson, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing direction and leadership towards achievement of the Company’s overall goals and strategic objectives.

Key Job Functions:

• Develop for Board’s approval, the Company’s strategic direction and position to ensure profitable growth and success.
• To ensure that commercial business plans and strategies are developed, reviewed, agreed upon and implemented to meet the goals set for growth and profitability.
• Monitor the external environment, regulatory condition, read the market, anticipate change and alert the Board to these and assess the likely impact of change to the business.
• Ensure that opportunities for business development are identified and recommendations made to the Board of Directors as appropriate.
• Review and take remedial action where necessary for all business units for sustainable profitable performance.
• To create conditions and processes to support and sustain change through balancing people, financial resources, technology and operations.
• To establish world class systems to ensure operational efficiency, good corporate governance and best practice systems in all functions.
• Assess the principal risks of the business and ensure that risk is effectively addressed in all aspects of the business.
• Develop and maintain healthy relationships with key stakeholders locally, regionally and internationally.

Requirements ofthe Job:

The successful candidate for this Executive position should meet the following criteria:

• Must have relevant Engineering /Business Degree and a post graduate qualification e.g MBA/MBL
• Ai least 10 years experience at Executive Management level in the FMCG or Food Manufacturing or Agro-processing industry.
• Good understanding of current Corporate Governance, regulatory and legislation issues.
• Demonstrable ability to develop long term strategic relationships with Key Stakeholders.
