Chief Executive Officer
Suitably qualified and experienced applicants are invited to apply for the post of Chief Executive Officer which has arisen at Nkayi Rural District Council
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring that Council is viable and delivers services to its communities
Provide technical , legal and administration advice to Council and its Committees
Supervising and coordinating council departments and ensuring that council resolutions are implemented timeously
Formulating and implementing council budget and ensuring that it is approved by the Minister of Local Government and Public Works within stipulated time frame
Encouraging and coordinating investor initiative for enhancing economic growth and local economic development in the district
Formulating and implementing council’s economic development strategies
Promoting council’s regional and international relationships and partnerships
Skills and Competencies
Extensive knowledge of local government systems
Strong communication skills
Organized and able to work under pressure
Computer literate with knowledge of MS Packages
Clean Class 4 Driver’s License
QUALIFICATIONS
A Degree from a recognised university in Administration , Local Governance Studies , Business Studies , Politics or Law
A full CIS is also acceptable
A relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
A minimum of 4 years post qualification Local government experience in middle or senior management in an administrative postion is mandatory
Be at least 35 years of age
Should be a Zimbabwean citizen and have a clean record of service within the local government fratenity
