Applicants are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the vacant post of Chief Executive Officer (Grade 11) which has arisen in the organisation
Duties and Responsibilities
- To formulate and implement Council’s budget and ensuring that it is approved by the Minister of Local Government and Public Works within the stipulated timeframe
- To encourage and coordinate investor initiatives for enhancing economic growth and _ local economic development in the district
- To formulate and implement Councils socio-economic development strategies
- To ensure that Council is viable and delivering services to its communities
- To promote the Council’s regional and international relations and partnerships
- Providing technical, legal and administration advice to Council and its Committees.
- Supervising and coordinating Council departments and ensuring that Council resolutions are timeously implemented.
- Strategically managing Council’s finances and ensuring that external audits are always up to date.
Qualifications and Experience
- Social Sciences Degree, Business Studies, Law or Full CIS/ACCA/CIMA
- A relevant Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Local Governance or Public Administration with at least
- 3 years at Management level
- Clean class 4 driver’s license
- No criminal record
- A Zimbabwean citizen
- At least 40 years old and mature
