POST : CHIEF COMPLIANCE OFFICER (1 POSITION)
GRADE : 8
REPORTING TO: HEAD, PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT UNIT
LOCATION : ROWAN MARTIN
JOB PURPOSE
The Chief Compliance Officer ensures that procurement activities meet the requirements of
the relevant procurement statutes, regulations, policies, and procedures; identifies and
mitigates risks related to non-compliance; provides advice and guidance to procurement
staff on compliance issues; develops and implements compliance programs and initiatives;
conducts internal audits and investigations related to procurement compliance; and reports
to the Procurement Manager on compliance matters.
KEY DUTIES
Developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures in accordance with
the respect of the procurement are achieved on time and within budget, to ensure minimum risk.
Ensure compliance with all applicable procurement laws, regulations, and internal policies
provide assistance on ongoing statutory and regulatory compliance and delivery within
the Procurement Management Unit including all procurement guidelines and policies.
Ensure that appropriate internal controls are in place and functioning effectively within
Procurement Management Unit’s statutory compliance function ensuring delivery of
procurement of goods, services, and works, consistent with overall requirements.
Conduct regular compliance reviews and internal audits of procurement activities to identify
risk, ensuring effective monitoring and reporting system are in place to capture, monitor and rectify compliance.
Advise and train procurement staff and other relevant stakeholders on Head Procurement
Management Unit and Principal’ Buyers for noting and/or redress.
QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in Business Administration/Supply Chain Management/
Procurement or equivalent
A professional qualification in Purchasing and Supply Management (e.g. CIPS).
Post graduate qualification in Management (e.g., MBA, MBL or MSC) or Diploma in
Risk Management or equivalent is an added advantage.
A clean Class Four Driver’s License a must
